The article analyzes the increase in disturbed lands in the Bogdinsko-Baskunchaksky Reserve, where unique ecosystems are exposed to the negative impact of anthropogenic factors associated with the growth of tourism. The study identifies key factors of soil degradation, environmental pollution and insufficient infrastructure preparedness, which leads to the threat of extinction of rare species of plants and animals. One of the significant problems is the environmental ignorance of the population and this affects the state of the natural territory (unauthorized kindling of fires, dumping of solid waste, etc.). The authors consider current concepts of landscape organization aimed at restoring disturbed territories, including the introduction of buffer zones and methods of active restoration of ecosystems. Attention is also focused on the importance of ecotourism in the environmental protection strategy. Recommendations are offered for the creation of eco-tourism routes and educational events, as well as the need for interdisciplinary approaches, cooperation with government agencies, environmental organizations, local population to ensure a balance between the development of tourism and the preservation of the natural heritage of Russia.
