This article is devoted to the application of the flexible (Agile) methodologies to the practice of public administration. First of all, the author talks about using such practice in the Russian government bodies. The purpose of the article is to reveal the specifics of the process of adapting flexible management methodologies in the public sphere, including the management experience that has already been accumulated in the private sector. The article reveals such a problem as the impossibility of directly transferring the practice of applying flexible methodologies from the private sector to the public one. Firstly, in view of the fact that at the moment in the public sector the former model of management still dominates. Secondly, for the reason that a significant part of civil servants are not psychologically ready to work in the conditions that presuppose Agile technologies. The article proposes to strive to gradually develop the original Russian standard for flexible control technologies. Such a standard should generalize the already existing Russian management experience, and also take into account the restrictions and frameworks that legislation imposes on the management process. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that it indicates the specific characteristics of all the main flexible management methodologies that can and cannot be adapted in the conditions of Russian public administration.
