This article presents the main points of the state information system responsible for the management of urban development in the Russian Federation. There are also regulators that control the activities of spatial modeling and geoinformation systems in the field of urban planning. The introduction of digital technologies will reduce costs and optimize the construction of real estate, will allow for the analysis of engineering and construction research using digital technologies. The new systems will accelerate the process of updating and digitalizing urban planning, and the introduction of a state information system has become a national goal. The use of this system in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will make the urban planning industry more transparent and accessible to all participants. It will also provide quick access to the necessary information, which will lead to more efficient provision of state and municipal services. The state information system for urban planning in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation performs not only the task of planning, but also creates the basis for improving information technology. The main purpose of this information system is to provide all interested parties (public authorities, local governments and individuals and legal entities) with complete, up-to-date and reliable information.
