Russian Federation
Russia is one of the largest countries receiving labor migrants from CIS countries. For Russia, labor migration in conditions of labor shortage is of great importance, which turns it into a socio-economic, socio-cultural and demographic factor of development. The article discusses the peculiarities of labor migration from the CIS countries to Russia. The research directions of different authors of this issue are presented. The main attention is paid to the analysis of statistical indicators of migration flows to Russia from the CIS countries, distribution of labor migrants by place of arrival, issuance of invitations to foreign citizens to enter the Russian Federation for the purpose of labor activity, etc. The article reveals the impact of labor migration on the development of Russia. The impact of labor migration on the socio-economic development of Russia, as well as on social anxiety is revealed. The authors consider some directions of reducing the level of illegal migration in Russia, as well as the main measures taken by the state to regulate labor migration.
