The article describes the characteristics of the diverse flora and fauna (animals and vegetation) of the taiga landscapes that stretch across the territory of Russia. It also describes the ethnographic composition living within the natural zone of taiga (in this case, the Russian taiga) and its diversity. These landscapes are the largest terrestrial biome in the world and the largest natural zone of our country, therefore they represent a special, unique ethnocultural and natural component of the world that needs to be studied in more detail both in the course of Russian geography and in the geography of the world as a whole.
