Traditionally, the uniqueness of the Tsarskoye Selo (Imperial Alexander) Lyceum is associated in the public consciousness with the personality of the "main" lyceum graduate, Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Thus, it is made clear that this educational institution has fulfilled its task already during the first six years of its existence, and the hundred years of lyceum history that followed Pushkin's graduation are a kind of anachronism, "idling". It is obvious, however, that in reality everything was not at all in such a semiotic category. This is evidenced, first of all, by a significant number of prominent government and public figures, as well as cultural figures, who were brought up within the walls of the Lyceum.
