The article discusses the issue of determining the composition of the elements that make up the mechanism of interregional cooperation between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, where the use of digital technologies in the process of coordinating economic actors is an essential component. In today's context, the article focuses on analyzing the current trends in the development of interregional cooperation between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and identifying the elements that make up its mechanism. It is shown that the interaction of regions in all spheres of society is becoming important, ensures the coordination of authorities in the process of solving interregional problems, the implementation of joint projects and contributes to the development of interregional infrastructure. The effectiveness of interregional cooperation depends on the operation of a mechanism that increases the potential for interaction between the authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, regulated at the federal level. The authors have substantiated the composition of the mechanism of interregional cooperation, analyzed it, and developed proposals for improving the areas of regional cooperation. As a new element of the current mechanism of interregional cooperation, the functionality of the digital platform is proposed, which creates new opportunities and contributes to the development of digitalization of the Russian economy.
